My name is Sarah Piper and I am a recent graduate of Duke University with a B.S.E in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Religious Studies. Currently a graduate student, I have had various opportunities to work on real-world applications within my academic career and have created this website to share those projects with you!
Another key feature of my site is the About Me page! Although engineering has been a blast, there is so much more to me than just that. Growing up in the sports world, I love playing soccer, being outdoors, and really just doing anything active and in the sweet embrace of community! Based in Durham, NC, I did my undergraduate studies at Duke University in which I pursued a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering.
As a D1 athletic program, Duke womens soccer has provided me with countless skills such as leadership, balancing work load, and working cohesively in a team environment.
Designed and tested as a solution to the 6-year-old pediatric test dummy neck, our SOK model performed similarly to the industry standard, Hybrid III, and has the potential to be improved upon in many different ways.
